First I chose 3 songs that I liked. Then I chose the order in which I want to do the different mixxx assignments in. I put these things in each song. Next I wrote down the time where I did each mixxx assignment at. Later I used the crossfader in each song into one to create one recording with all three songs.

Assighnment 9:sampling

I decided to chose a easy song that goes well with the sounds I chose. The four songs I chose were a cat meowing, scratching, a click of a camera, and a drum beat. I also chose a specific spot in the song for each sound.

Mixxx Assignment 8: scratching

In this assignment  learned how to scratch using mixxx. The first thing I did was choose a song.Then I chose parts it  the song where I think it would sound good at. I did this like three or four times int the song.Scratching allows you to slow the tempo and voice of the song. This also allows  you to speed the song up too. As you will hear in my recording below.

Mixxx Assignment 7 : pitch control slider

I actually had fun messing with the pitch controller. I chose my favorite parts in this song that I liked. Then I moved the pitch controller up and down on different parts of this song. this control makes the song go to high pitch to low pitch. That is how I made this recording below.

Mixxx assignment 6:FX

I picked my favorite parts int the song. Then on one part i put the LFO all the way down, the depth in the middle, and the delay all the way down. Basically on each favorite part made a different FX. The depth knob changes the depth in the song. The LFO changes the voice in the song. And the DELAY changes i think everything.

Mixxx assignment 5

While I was making the recording I decided to start with the high and the low all the way down. then i chose a specific spot in the song to turn up the low knot. After that I turn the low knot down and chose a specific spot in the song to turn up the high knot. The high knot changes the higher pitch sound, the mid changes the middle pitch sound, and the low changes the lower pitch sound.

mixx assighnment 3: beatmatching

I made the beats by doing the following. First I picked two songs that had almost the same bpm. then I put them in two sperate decks. After that I pressed the SYNC button on the left side so that the beat onth right would match the beat on the left. I SYNC the tempi so both songs can have the same bpm or tempi.

I made loops on the song called "get money fast". I created theses two loops by choosing parts of the song that i liked. And then putting loops there.

1)The homepage for the banshee media player is banshee. 2) three Rockin' features are, Buy new music, Queue tracks, and Smartly shuffle 3) The person who started this program is Cantarell, Droid Sans, DejaVu Sans, Bitstream Vera Sans, Verdana, sans-serifAaron Bockover, Alexander Kojevnikov, Bertrand Lorentz, and Gabriel Burt. 4)The project started in early 2005.and countless users and volunteers have contributed to banshee. Banshee is free, it doesn't cost anything.The operating system that banshee is working on is windows XP. The operating sytem itunes is working is Mac and PC. 5)it took less time to download itunes. 6) I went to file, and then click import media and , all the songs don't play 7)it plays in both 8) itunes and banshee both have radio, they both have recently added, and they both have a music libary 9) they are different because banshee has podcasts,and itunes doesn't. Itunes has downloads and banshee doesn't. Also banshee has online media and itunes doesn't. 10)so far i like itunes better

I chose these songs because I love hip hop and always loved songs because of their beats and how well they rap. Another reason why i picked this  is because i love hip hop. 3 new things i discovered while doing this is that one, there are dozens of websites for free music. Two, you need to sighn in for certain sites. And three, its fun downloading music.
